Located in one of the most unspoilt parts of the
country, yet only two hours from West London and little more than
half that from Birmingham, Oatfield offers the discerning visitor
the perfect venue for a few days relaxation or a longer break.
The cottages are very comprehensively
equipped. All bedrooms, except two, are en-suite, three have
Jacuzzis (one's a double!), four have four posters, all have fully
fitted kitchens with conventional and microwave ovens,
fridge/freezers, food processors etc. TVs, radio, DVD and video players
. Four have dishwashers and two have washer dryers, there is also a
shared laundry facility, four have pay phones, there is also a
general one in our comprehensive tourism information office. Cots
and highchairs are available on request. The games room has a
pool table, table tennis table, table football, darts and exercising
machines. The play area has swings, slide and playtower with large
slide and climbing net.
Quite unlike most holiday cottages those at
Oatfield House Farm, with their beautiful decorations and
sumptuous furnishings, can truly be described as "home from home"; a
feeling summed up by the Clarke family from Marston in
Lincolnshire, who said after a recent visit "everything we hoped it would be and more, cottages
charming, peace and tranquility."
The ancient port of Gatcombe, a short walk
from our garden.

The Royal Forest of Dean is still a
real forest, 26,000 acres of woodland, the largest
remaining natural forest in the country. Thirty percent of the
trees are Oaks and over 60% are broad leaf deciduous.
It remains one of the few unspoilt and uncommercialised parts of the
country - visit the forest area and step back in time - it's a
different pace of life.

The lower Wye Valley borders the western boundary of The
Forest and is famous for Tintern Abbey and the view from
Symonds Yat Rock. A boat trip through the gorge is a
memorable
experience. |
