Oatfield House Farm is situated close to Etloe, one mile from the village of Blakeney on the A48, 15 miles from Gloucester and 11 miles from Chepstow. There is an 'open-all-hours' village shop and post office in Blakeney, otherwise the nearest town is Lydney, 3 miles away, with a wide range of shops including Tesco and two other medium sized supermarkets.

Public Transport
There is a railway station at Lydney on the Gloucester to Newport local service. A regular bus service runs from Chepstow to Gloucester and stops at Blakeney. Taxis can be ordered by phone. There is no taxi rank at the station.

There are a number of local taxi companies, we generally use Crystal (01594 824846) or A1 taxi (01594 844055) who both provide an excellent service.

Nearest Airport
Bristol international is less than an hour away, Heathrow two and a half hours depending on traffic on the M4.

Oatfield is an ideal touring centre with the Cotswolds, Bristol, Bath, Cheltenham, Gloucester, Hereford, Worcester, Ross-on-Wye, the Brecon Beacons, Black Mountains, the Malverns, the Welsh Borders, some lovely unspoilt South Wales sandy beaches, four Cathedrals and lots and lots of castles, all within an hours drive.
